POCHÉ
The front door of a house stands ajar at first light, limestone step below.
A narrow limewashed corridor, morning light raking the wall, a bright slit ahead.
A double-height hall flooded with noon light, an oak wall at its far end.
A stone passage lined with niches of linen, limestone and blackened steel.
A gallery corridor at golden hour, three lit openings showing finished rooms.
A roof terrace at dusk, a lamp lit on a linen-covered table, two chairs.

Poché, interior architecture

The house beginsbefore the door.

An interior architecture studio in Paris and Copenhagen. We design rooms as sequences: threshold, light, material, rest.

A room is read by walking.

We design the approach as carefully as the destination. Narrowness, shadow, the grain of a floor: the corridor is the instrument that tunes the room beyond it.

Light is thefirst material.

Oak

Quarter sawn, oiled, laid along the axis of the walk.

Honed where hands and feet arrive. Limewash holds the light without shining.
